Energy Air is proud to announce that 2016 is our 40th anniversary year – providing the best heating, ventilation and air conditioning services, to the communities of Central Florida. Four years after Robert French opened the doors of Energy Air, he was joined by his brother-in-law, Chuck Kulp, who also owned an AC company in South Florida.
Together, they envisioned an HVAC company that would provide a one-stop, full-service experience that integrated all of their client’s needs. During those beginning years, they would do everything from service calls to customer outreach. Today, Energy Air has grown to become an industry-leading company known for fast, reliable heating and air conditioning services at a fair price, and employing more than 375 people at multiple locations in the Orlando and Tampa Bay areas.
How We Continue to Strive for HVAC Excellence
Energy Air takes a family-style approach to business. This means that we maintain a commitment to family values, the community, our team members and our loyal customers who trust our team to provide great AC services for homes and businesses. Our charitable involvement in local fundraising, including our work with the Florida Hospital Diabetes Institute and the ABC of Central Florida, helps us give back to the amazing community that has supported us for four decades.
We are also proud to be employee owned through our Employee Stock Ownership Program. The dedication, loyalty and hard work our team has shown have driven us to where we are today, and we are committed to giving back to them for this reason. Our in-house education program with unparalleled curriculum provides the best skill-training experience and opportunity to grow and develop in their careers. Our talented and reliable team has been the reason that we have won numerous awards and why we were named the Best Place to Work in Orlando by the Orlando Business Journal in 2010.
Energy Air’s President, Chuck Kulp, has dedicated much of his life to not only helping the company grow to what it is today, but also to service to the indoor comfort industry and to the local community. His dedication was recognized recently with a Lifetime Achievement Award and induction into the Carrier Hall of Fame, an accomplishment awarded to only 24 other people in the HVAC industry.

Onward to 40 More Years of Improving Indoor Comfort
When Energy Air was born as a single garage start-up with one truck and a few employees in 1976, it might have been hard to dream of how far great leadership and vision would take the company. Now a business with revenue over $50 million per year, employing several hundred employees, positively influencing scores of families and making a significant economic and charitable impact across the Central Florida region, we are proud to celebrate our 40th anniversary with you all and we look forward to 40 more years of improving our community’s indoor comfort.
