Creating Comfortable Learning Environments

There’s something special about helping to build a school. Making an impact on a community project that will better the lives of students is something we’re proud of at Energy Air. We know how important it is for students to have comfortable learning environments. From the library to the classroom, inadequate heating and cooling can lead to decreased productivity and lack of focus.

To help students thrive, we have performed HVAC installations in hundreds of educational facilities, including public and private elementary, middle and high schools, technical schools and higher educations facilities. Our scope of work includes new construction, remodels and additions, higher education facility classrooms, dormitories, kitchens, auditoriums, laboratories, gymnasiums, baseball stadium concessions and more. We’ve even installed a heat exchanger underwater for an LEED Platinum classroom built to host groups for environmental education.

Education Facility Projects

Here’s a look at some of the most impressive education facility projects we’ve recently completed:

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Student Union Project

Energy Air was contracted by Barton Malow to provide a complete HVAC system for the new ERAU student union center. This $75 million 177,000 square foot facility is truly a one-of-a kind building. It took over two years, 4.2 million pounds of structural steel, 57,000 square feet of glass and multitudes of construction workers to create this visually unique structure.

UCF 554 - Interdisciplinary Research Incubator Facility

Energy Air completed the HVAC scope for a UCF multi-use research and laboratory facility. This facility is one of the most complex overall HVAC systems in the state. With over 60 labs requiring AC, ventilation, fume exhaust and make up air, the combined scope of this project beyond the normal HVAC scope even for higher education facilities.

Tohopekaliga High School

Energy Air completed the entire HVAC system, including underground piping, for the first new High School in Osceola County built in over 10 years. From the beginning the school was designed to represent the next generation of education. The 356,718 square foot school is able to accommodate over 3,000 students. There are over 11 buildings and each one is equipped with terraces that use solar power and rain cisterns.
