Sustainability. Reliability. Expertise.
At Energy Air, we have experience completing the HVAC scope for a variety of projects designed with energy efficiency in mind as well as projects designed according to LEED Platinum, Gold, Silver and Certified design standards.
More than 25% to 50% of energy consumed in U.S. commercial buildings is used for heating and air conditioning, depending on the building and system type. Because HVAC systems comprise a large portion of building operating costs, improving energy efficiency in this area brings significant financial advantages as well as environmental benefits for your project.
Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) provides building owners and operators a concise framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions. It was developed as a simple rating system that awards points in six categories: sustainable sites; water efficiency; energy and atmosphere; materials and resources; indoor environmental quality; and innovation and design. The most important LEED credits relating to HVAC are for energy reductions/improvements, followed by credits relating to indoor air quality both during construction and after occupancy.
Implementing LEED design standards brings a potential increase in ROI, sales, customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction and brand equity. Green buildings can also reduce operating costs through the decrease in energy and water usage.
